Sun Rainbow
illuminations of motherhood unfolding ~ a saturday poem series
Sun Rainbow
Years have gone by, Creator, my spirit so far away.
What I’ve been fighting for was more
Than protection from an abuser.
But for unification with my spirit.
All these hard lessons were necessary
For me to wake up to self as part of Source.
Each breath an ode to creation,
Not for me, but interconnection.
Notice how the breath moves
Beyond the edges of our skin.
The birds, forever teaching me
How to be a better mother.
