Readers and Listeners
There are more people here now than when this channel began several years ago. I feel grateful for the people who are here and take time to read, to listen, to observe without evaluating before evaluating.
The scope of my work as a trauma practitioner is growing and I’m thankful for this outlet as a way to organize thoughts that other media channels have intrinsically kept chaotic or disorganizing.
If you arrived or subscribed for a particular purpose or thread, I would like to hear from you about what you want to hear or know more about. Feel free to reply to this or send a message.
There is a lot to share, to unfold ~ the landscape of historical trauma is ongoing, and processes contributing to decay are ongoing, and hope, I see and sense, is ongoing. It takes time to process, outline and organize all of the research and field-work that I am just a part of ~ interconnection, relatedness, etc.
From Betrayal to Hope
This late winter into briefest spring has been a time exploring and teaching about forgiveness and forgiving in very subtle ways. I appreciate the freedom and play a values-based, consent-based approach is bringing.
In a season, in one's own timing, it is possible to move from accepting and feeling betrayal towards remembering all that was lost, feeling through to remembering hope ~ from feeling to forgiving to remembering who we truly are.
This is a process of purification, my friends, that seems ever unfolding ~ this morning as I made the bed I pondered how I've walked these fires so many times, I'm becoming the flames.
There is more story than old story to be told in now story.
Whether it's our reparenting journey or healing in marriage or in partnership, or the years of silence now bursting with feeling and moaning, or the generations of unfelt grief, survival stress, emotional neglect or reconciling incest, we are all walking through life and remembering how to feel as we heal wounds, both large and small.
It's the return to innocence, the divine love or love of the divine that cracks us wide open over and over again.
Remembering is not meant to be easy, but it will, eventually, help set us free.
What are you remembering?
And why is it important now?
